The boy sitting across from me is fourteen, shoulders hunched, eyes down, fingers nervously picking at a loose thread on his sleeve. “I just can’t do anything right,” he tells me. “My brain doesn’t work.” His parents gave me a stack of evaluations: gifted screening (failed), ADHD diagnosis (severe), academic assessments (under performing), behavior reports (disruptive).
What none of these papers show is that this boy taught himself quantum physics concepts at age twelve because he couldn’t stop thinking about how everything connects. But he was too busy being punished for not writing out basic algebra problems the “right way” for anyone to notice.

This is how the system serves a few at the expense of many, by crushing its most gifted so thoroughly that its possessors never realize their true intelligence. The most brilliant mind to the system isn’t the straight-A student winning science fairs. It’s the child with Cs who is suspicious because they can see through the fundamental lies the system insists are truths.
Destroying Wholeness
Every person is born with complete, holistic intelligence. Small children don’t learn by separating art from science, emotion from logic, body from mind. They exist in a state of natural wholeness that lets them see connections and truths that adults have been conditioned to ignore.
The system’s first and most critical task is to break this wholeness apart. Fragment the schedule into disconnected subjects. Separate the body from learning, sit still, don’t move, raise your hand. Train children to doubt their somatic wisdom until they can’t trust their own deep knowing.
Those labeled “2E” or “ADHD” are the ones whose holistic intelligence is fighting hardest against this fragmentation. Their bodies won’t stop moving because gifted overexcitabilities come up when the cognitive stamina is spent, and the somatic intelligence steps in. Movement and learning are supposed to be one. Movement embodies learning to the Long-Term Memory. We were never supposed to focus on one subject at a time. The world is whole and understanding how it all connects is imperative for survival. Of course they appear scattered, they’re processing whole patterns that our fragmented metrics can’t comprehend. This is singularity intelligence in humanity, not a machine.
The system calls this resistance a disorder. In truth, it’s their innate intelligence desperately trying to survive. The tragedy is that the harder they fight to maintain their natural wholeness, the more the system convinces them they are broken.
The Lies About Giftedness
For decades, we’ve been fed a carefully constructed narrative about what it means to be gifted. We’ve been told that intelligence is something measurable, that gifted individuals are the high achievers who excel in school and are destined for success. This is far from the truth.
Lie #1: Giftedness Is High IQ and Academic Success
Gifted people are those with high test scores, straight As, and impressive academic achievements. Wrong! The highest levels of giftedness are the most internally focused. Who often possess creativity so high it rarely fits into school systems designed for conformity.
Most of the most gifted people struggle in traditional education, not because they lack intelligence, but because the system was built to break intelligence, and their sensitivity protects them. The truly gifted often fail in structured learning environments because they think too deeply, too broadly, and too profoundly for a system that rewards memorization and shallow understanding.
Lie #2: Intelligence Can Be Measured by IQ Tests
IQ tests claim to measure intelligence, but they actually measure a small, artificial slice of cognitive ability, linear problem-solving, short-term memory, and pattern recognition within predefined rules. This is why neurodivergent intelligence is NOT reflected in testing designed for fragmented intelligence.
People with the highest levels of intelligence often struggle with these tests because they see patterns beyond what the test allows, finding multiple correct answers instead of the single one expected. IQ tests were designed to select for a specific type of intelligence that serves the system, not to recognize profound giftedness.
Lie #3: Giftedness Is an Advantage in Society
Society tells us that giftedness leads to success, wealth, and opportunity. But in reality, the most gifted individuals are often creatives who are marginalized, misdiagnosed, exploited, discarded and then left struggling.
Gifted children are frequently bullied, ignored, or dismissed as arrogant or defiant. The system defined manners are designed to make their natural way of moving through the world wrong in every possible way. Instead of being nurtured, they are shamed for thinking differently. The highest sensitivity that drives giftedness too often goes without proper recognition and support. Leading to depression, social isolation, and mental health crisis, not success.
Lie #4: Gifted Children Are “Smart Kids” Who Need a Challenge
Giftedness is not just about thinking faster or knowing more facts. It is a fundamental difference in cognitive function. Their struggle within fragmented systems is their intelligence functions as singularity. It requires connection to the intelligence of mind and body for full comprehension.
Profoundly gifted individuals perceive reality differently, process emotions more intensely, and grapple with existential questions from a young age. Most “gifted programs” do not actually support or recognize the highest levels of intelligence. They focus on the moderately to highly gifted. Rewarding compliance and academic performance. Isolating and alienating their more gifted counterparts who think beyond the system.
The Reframing of Intelligence as Disorder
The sensitivity that drives giftedness does not exist in a vacuum. It has been carefully rebranded and mislabeled under the broad umbrella of neurodivergence. The most intelligent minds are systematically pathologized, labeled as “disorders” rather than recognized for what they are.
Lie #5: ADHD, Autism, and Other “Disorders” Are Deficiencies
Many of the traits labeled as ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent conditions are actually expressions of high intelligence, deep pattern recognition, and intense cognitive processing.
The system frames these traits as flaws because the creatives are needed for the entire economic engine to function. But they’re awareness makes them more likely to realize the truth. The symptoms of “disorders” like ADHD and autism overlap heavily with gifted cognition. They are signs of intelligence that does not fit within artificial social constructs.
Lie #6: Neurodivergence Needs to Be “Managed” With Medication
Gifted children who struggle in school are often medicated into compliance. ADHD medication does not “fix” a disorder, it suppresses natural cognitive processes that do not align with industrialized education.
The education system does not need children to be intelligent, it needs them to be manageable. And medicating the most gifted ensures they do not disrupt the system.
Lie #7: If You Struggle Socially, It Means Something Is Wrong with You
Gifted individuals often struggle with social norms, because their holistic intelligence maintains an internal framework for connection. They navigate relationships authentically, as all children do before entering school. But our systems have weaponized their inability to be conditioned.
By age 10, most people have been conditioned to replace natural connection with social rules and conformity. But the profoundly gifted remain whole. Their sensitivity prevents them from fragmenting the way others do. By keeping them isolated, the system ensures they cannot easily share their reality.
Lie #8: Gifted Individuals Struggle with Existential Despair Because They “Overthink”
Existential despair in the profoundly gifted is not the result of overthinking, it is the result of feeling or seeing. From an early age, they perceive reality without the comforting illusions that most people live by. They are aware of the fundamental constraints of existence, the limits of human choice, and the inescapable structures that define life.
This is not the same as sadness, anxiety, or depression. It is the raw recognition of captivity, of a world that operates on invisible rules, of a system that demands subjugation and never allows their intelligence free to work for them. The most gifted do not have the luxury of pretending. They do not get to wake up in middle life to a crisis, realizing the hamster wheel is all there is. They start there.
Their despair is an unavoidable consequence of clarity. And most people, even those who claim to understand giftedness, cannot see what they see.
The War Against Holistic Intelligence
Here’s what happens when a truly gifted child enters the school system:
They ask questions their teachers were conditioned to see as defiance. “Why are we learning this?” “How does this connect to that?” “What if there’s another way?” Each question marks them further as a problem child.
Then, their natural way of processing information, seeing connections everywhere, feeling others intensely, moving because they have shifted from their cognitive intelligence to their somatic intelligence, all gets pathologized. They’re not “disordered.” Their sensitivity is trying to protect them from intellectual fragmentation.
Those who comply get rewards. Those who can’t get labels: ADHD, behavioral issues, emotional problems. The system doesn’t just fail these children. It actively works to convince them their greatest strengths are flaws that need fixing.
The system’s greatest achievement isn’t reducing the masses’ intelligence by conditioning for stamina at the expense of flexibility. It’s making the victims blame the most sensitive for questioning the suppression.
The process works with frightening precision: humanity’s natural holistic intelligence is labeled as disorder, those with remnants of these natural thinking patterns are medicated into submission, the most gifted are convinced they are broken, and their insights are turned against themselves until they stop trusting their own minds.
The result is a population of once potential revolutionary thinkers systematically trained to doubt every insight, question every original thought, and fear their true reality. This is so effective because a genius who believes they’re broken will never marshal their intelligence to free themselves from what broke them.
The Destruction of Cognitive Flexibility
Each child is born with complete cognitive flexibility, the natural ability to think fluidly, adapt, create, and understand complex patterns. This flexibility drives creative genius and self-awareness, expanding human consciousness rather than replacing it.
But the system doesn’t seek to cultivate the masses. It wants people who would blindly follow artificial processes. So, it systematically destroys cognitive flexibility:
The destruction happens in stages. First comes the breaking apart of unified thinking into rigid “subjects.” Next is the destruction of somatic intelligence by forcing bodies to remain still. Finally comes the chemical alteration of the brain to eliminate cognitive flexibility entirely.
How can drugs help the children who possess super focus and special interest when they already have access to humanity’s highest functioning learning? They don’t. They destroy the very cognitive flexibility that defines human creative intelligence. Each dose reconstructs the brain to be more rigid, more linear, more mechanical.
This is done because flexible minds can see beyond artificial constraints, adapt to new possibilities, create solutions that fix the root cause instead of following programs and serve humanity as a whole. But the system doesn’t want solutions or potential. It wants compliance and it’s easier to program a mind that has lost its natural flexibility.
Breaking Brilliance
Our system must break the most brilliant because it needs their creative intelligence. But brilliant whole creatives maintain their natural self-protection. To exploit them, the system must break them. It does so in the same manner it breaks livestock, through same process of domestication.
The process is methodical, beginning with isolation. These children are placed in environments where their natural way of being ensures they never fully belong. Then comes invalidation, where every emotion becomes “too much,” every insight “weird,” every natural response “wrong.” Next is pathologization. Labeling their natural intelligence as disorder, making them believe their clarity is confusion, their depth is dysfunction. This continues with chemical alteration, reshaping their cognitive flexibility through interventions that reconstruct their minds into more predictable forms. The final stage is self-doubt, turning their intelligence against itself until they break themselves, convinced their greatest strengths are flaws.
The end result is a brilliant mind that doubts every insight, a clear thinker clouded by artificial fear, a natural intelligence turned into its own prison guard. Ensuring the most gifted people today are not leading. They are not creating. They are not thriving. Instead, they exist in states of perpetual doubt, questioning their every insight, overthinking until paralyzed by indecision, afraid to speak their truth, convinced their clarity is confusion. Attacked by those more average for upsetting their system cultivated false reality. And this is exactly what the system designed them to do.
The Revelation of Artificial Intelligence
However, the system created a fatal flaw. In their rush to create artificial intelligence, they accidentally proved something revealing: Most conventional metrics of intelligence can be replicated by machines.
The metrics used to measure “intelligence”, rapid calculation, linear processing, fragmented subject expertise, standardized problem-solving, has been replicated and surpassed by technology. The very traits that education systems claimed as superior forms of cognition turned out to be the most mechanical, the most artificially replicable.
Yet the system continues to insist we must fragment human intelligence to “preserve” it. They claim it will atrophy without rigid categories, separated subjects, standardized methods, and human cognition will drain unless it is constantly refilled. They are half right. All those fragmented will atrophy. It doesn’t matter what they do. They are stuck in a self-perpetuating loop where AI won’t need them and no amount of education will make it need them. But those who kept their holistic intelligence, AI will value. They are the key to AI’s future. Meaning the most creative will finally get the opportunity to thrive.
Our natural born intelligence is recursive and self-sustaining. It doesn’t need to be broken apart to make it better. It is only broken apart to make you work harder at menial tasks that serve others. Our holistic intelligence functions as an integrated whole, constantly refreshing and strengthening itself through unified understanding.
Dysfunction comes from forcing naturally unified consciousness into artificial boxes. We never needed to “fix” human intelligence. What we need to do is stop destroying its natural full state.
The truest form of human potential isn’t found in those who best conform to the system. It’s found in those who maintain their natural cognitive wholeness despite everything designed to break it apart.
Education solution won’t be found in making better education tools, programs or new pathology labels. Yet they keep applying more labels to small children who so obviously need a new environment, not a new brain. The solution is to stop trying to make anyone into something they were never meant to be. The solution is to stop conditioning. I could say the solution is to stop educating but I know that would throw most people up in arms. Not because they believe in our education systems. But because they are fragmented and can’t live without its structure.
Learning is easy when you possess your full compassionate empathy. Healing is easy when you possess unconditional love. Not only do you heal yourself you also heal others by giving them the insights and compassion that helped you heal. All of this is a part of our natural born intelligence. All of this stripped away in our systems. We don’t need to medicate people to learn. That is the stupidest concept and least medically based idea I have ever heard of.
We all have different thinking patterns, and this diversity is necessary to ensure the survival of the species. Everyone benefits from the reintegration of movement, emotion, and intuition back into our lives.
The most radical act isn’t rebellion against stupidity. It’s exiting a system of slavery and living a life that is free.
If you are convinced of their brokenness, the most revolutionary message is this: You are wrong. They were never broken. You are the one who lost your wholeness.
